 KH Martin Footwear Specifications

POINTE SHOES

K.H. Martin pointe shoes are made with ultra-smooth English satin. The distinguishing characteristics of the shoes structural features allow the dancer to balance effortlessly on the tips of her toes.

The box is made of burlap stiffened with natural glue. It encases and supports the dancers toes and the metatarsus.

The shank is made of many layers of glue-hardened cardboard running along the ballerinas sole. It provides support to the arch of the foot as the dancer stands en pointe.

In-stock shoes are made in 3 versions: flexible, regular and strong shank.

For special orders, K.H. Martin offers FIFTEEN variations of shank strengths.

EVA

The pointe shoe Eva is K.H. Martins top model, a classic in the ballet scene. It features a slightly tapered box with a low profile.

Karla

The model Karla is made in the same way as Eva but with a wider platform and more room inside the box.
